History Of WWE

By Wanda Rosner

There are lot of wrestling fans that you can find in and around the world but there are very few of them who actually know how it started. The beginning marks way back in 1925 when Roderick McMahon began promoting boxing matches in the city of New York. He came to acknowledge Joseph Mondt, who was a professional wrestler and was making effort to take sports to another level. He made out new moves, found wrestlers that wanted to join him and started making wrestling a more viewable sport.

It is a very entertaining sport which is gaining its popularity due to its increase in movies and music videos and televisions shows. Individuals are found to get influenced towards the events of WWE not only because they want to support their favourite wrestlers but also because it gives them an adrenaline rush.

The NWA got an undisputed World Heavy Weight championship that went to several other wrestling companies in the alliance. The championship was defended around the world. Now the NWA only chose good fighters as champions, so to give their worked sport credibility. They have made a strong business in the Middle West which was also the core of the alliance. The wrestlers gained interest in the Capitol territory.

The WWE wrestling company has its history way back from 1950 when it was started by Vincent McMahon and Mondt, which is now handled by him and his wife Linda McMahon. WWE is said to be the inheritance of the McMahon family so even his son, Shane McMahon has joined the corporation. Majority of the number of shares of WWE is under the McMahons.

Both McMahon and Mondt want him to defend his title, but being the title holder Roger had to choices either to defend the title or to pay 25,000. In which roger chose to defend the title and ultimately lost the battle. This made McMahon and Mondt upset and they decide to leave NWA. This made the creation of the new wrestling corporation, World Wide Wrestling Federation or WWWF.

On 2002, the WWF (World Wrestling Entertainment) revealed that it was changing its company name and also the name by which it is branded as, WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment). It had to face many disputes due to this such as the music used, the change in funds raised etc. But the company's main motive to change the name was to bring the viewer's focus on entertainment. It later announced that it will not use the full name and only call itself as "WWE". It reflected WWE's entertainment expansion outside the ring and spreading the goal of contacting entertainment companies and getting into television, holding live events and also producing films.

After few years it was the company's name was again changed to World wrestling federation or the WWF and it came completely under the control of Vincent J McMahon. The following year his son brought in the Titan Sports and along with it he also bought Capitol Sports and its assets which included WWF too. Vincent j McMahon wanted to keep focusing the WWF towards the north-eastern region, his son wanted to do something else and he started expanding WWF.

The matches played are recorded and captured for advertising and promotion in the WWE library, which makes it the largest video library among other wrestling companies. The fans of WWE can watch the videos anytime they want and get entertained. WWE is great to watch and gives a new experience in everyone's lives.
