Abcs Of Hip Hop Producers And The History Of Hip Hop

By Jeff L. Robertson

Hip Hop originated in New York in the 70s. DJ Afrika Bambaataa first identified the five pillars of Hip Hop culture: mcing, DJing, breakdancing, graffiti and knowledge (Hip Hop philosophy). Other elements include beatboxing, hip hop fashion and slang. Originating in the South Bronx in the 1970s, Hip Hop has become part of youth culture in many countries. Hip Hop producers in Los Angeles have grown in numbers to match its popularity.

The main parts, also called the four elements of hip hop culture are MCing, DJing, graffiti and break dancing. The term Hip Hop was created by rappers and DJs. With its origin from socially marginalized groups, the subculture is spontaneously non-conformist in relation to the Western values. People who consider themselves to be part of hip hop subculture may engage in rap, graffiti and break dance.

Hip Hop music consists of two main elements: rap (recitative rhythmic rhymes) and rhythm defined by a DJ. Rap artists call themselves MCs (Master of Ceremony). Some MCs turn their lyrics into intricate puzzles (eg, Ghostface Killa said that he deliberately seeks to compose rhymes such that no one understood them except himself).

The five elements together are what many perceive as Hip Hop, and they are the pillars of the subculture. However, there are several other things associated with the genre. Clothes and overall appearance are an important part of culture. Elements, context, content and number are often discussed - and originally there were only four elements. These have now grown into seven. For example, knowledge of the sub-culture has been added as an important element.

The two murders were never solved, which has subsequently led to rumors that pointed out a connection. One of these rumors is based on the fact that before 2Pacs murder he had issued several dis tracks (tracks with the aim of verbally attacking a particular person or group) aimed at Biggie and his friend and producer P. Diddy. None of these rumors have been proven. Nowadays, the feud between the east and west coasts scaled back a lot, and many prominent hip hop names are trying to stop the conflict completely.

The word hip used in African American dialect meant moving parts of the human body. The word hop points to the movement (jump). According to philosophy behind the subculture, this means intellectual movement. Rapper Keith Wiggins, with Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five are linked to the formation of hip hop. When teased by friends who were drafted into the army, they sang in a jazz manner of speech, thus simulating the rhythm of marching soldiers. Keith later developed a rhythm of hip hop as part of his stage performance.

In early autumn 1979, her studio released the single, Rapper's Delight performed by The Sugarhill Gang, which produced a sensation in the U. S. Market. The single is considered the first rap record despite the fact that some earlier entries contested championship glory. But thanks to this 11 minute track, the American public and the media learned about the hip hop phenomenon. However, despite the popularity of this song (sold 8 million copies), some people agreed in opinion that it was a musical joke of which nothing happens further.

Hip Hop was the first music genre that best embodies the ideology and identity of contemporary African-American culture. This ideology was built on the antagonism towards white Anglo-Saxon culture. Over the past decades, its style emerged as radically different from the traditional style of the white population. The subculture cultivated its own jargon, manner of pronunciation, dance styles, graphic art (graffiti - images made with aerosol sprays or special markers). As the genre of music moves forward, there are many underground hip hop producers in Los Angeles and New York moving the art form into the future.
