New Series The FORGOTTEN VAMPIRES

By Stacey Massey

Fans of supernatural adventures and intense story lines that make it next to impossible to stop reading and are in for another treat with the introduction of the next great series. Dr. Carole Ann Western, an English writer now living in America, has created a series unlike those that have come before it. The FORGOTTEN VAMPIRES is destined to become the next big thing in fantasy fiction.

This is a series about seven brothers known as the Karazans who just so happen to be vampires though they are very different from the traditional stereotype. They use an alternative method of obtaining the blood they need for survival and believe fangs are only to be used when fighting to survive. They are unique in many ways which is part of what makes these stories so intriguing.

Each installment will focus on one of the vampire brothers, all seven of whom have remained undetected and hidden for thousands of years. Adventure and intrigue are about to ensue. There is no shortage of supernatural battles, heart pounding suspense, murder, greed, power battles and eternal and forbidden love to whet the reader's appetite and keep them coming back for more.

The premier book is titled Fire Goddess and was released by Outskirts Press, Inc. In early 2013. This story features the first of the brothers, Alon, who is ruthless, greedy and willing to do whatever he must to protect his fortune. Set in the tropical wonderland of the Hawaiian Islands, there is no shortage of heart pounding moments.

As the story begins, Aimee McKenzie is living in Star Valley, Wyoming with the grandfather who raised her after the loss of her parents. She receives an unexpected invitation from her Grandfather Kulana who lives in Hawaii and whom she has never before had any form of contact at all. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to learn about her Polynesian heritage and accepts the offer with little hesitation.

Unfortunately for Aimee, her time on the island is not going to be all hugs and happy reunions. The cousin she never knew existed is not at all pleased to have her there and is planning to kill her so that he remains the sole heir to the Kulana riches. This is Alon and he is filled with jealousy and centuries of determination which makes him a very dangerous foe.

But Aimee is not alone in this battle as the kindest sister of the four Fire Goddesses, Polihanu, sends her servant Kiyoto to protect the young girl from Alon and a myriad of other deadly threats. The real problem is that the two fall into a forbidden love between mortal and immortal. This creates a whole separate set of issues for her benefactor.

As Kiyoto fights to save Aimee from demons, witches, fire hounds, vampires, Pele and Alon, Polihanu is facing a tenuous decision on how best to save both protector and protected. The story lines and characters are totally unique and memorable. Incredible battles, intense love and one twist after another ensures that the reader will be anxiously awaiting the next book in the FORGOTTEN VAMPIRES series.
