For some days now, I have been thinking about my journey as an artist. I presume it is a cumulative retort to a succession of current challenges. But if I am firmly honest, I have been examining this out of the ordinary road from the inception. The unorthodox path of an artist is known for its own particular set of challenges as defined by the "starving artist." The history of art is infested with the sad stories of outstanding artists who failed to sell a single work of art until after they were extinct. In my heart, I conclude so much of this tendency stemmed from the majority not apprehending the elected course of artists.

This is the province of the artist, to which they circle back over and over again in the unfolding of creation. Their deep faith is the destined, natural progression of this experience. We can count on their return, and thus, any current work of art includes the assurance of even more to come.
It is believed that the happiest and most productive populace in the world are those who respect, support and participate in the arts. This says volumes for the human aspiration to grow, and the link of growth to art. I have ascertained many times that the occupation of producing art is a luxury. Some artists could reply that reliable income of a nine to five, a real job, is extravagance.
